Our company is hiring for a skilled Junior DevOps Engineer who is passionate about their work and wants to learn about setting up infrastructure and pipelines to assist developers. You will gain experience involving many different pieces of technology. As a DevOps Engineer, you will need to be a good communicator as you will interact directly with various stakeholders on a regular basis.
Requirements
As a Junior DevOps Engineer at our company, you will:
- Work with fellow DevOps engineers
- Assist senior DevOps in building CI/CD pipelines
- Learn more about SEO and SEM management and optimization
- Write scripts that automate repetitive tasks
- Identify and fix bugs that appear within DevOps-related code
- Ensure pipelines are not creating bottlenecks for rapid deployment of code
- Provide support to software developers who use the CI/CD pipelines
Our ideal Junior DevOps Engineer will have:
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of popular DevOps tools like Jenkins, GitLab, and/or Travis CI
- Ability to learn quickly about different technologies
- Understanding of Git and programming languages such as Python
- Good communication skills
- Some knowledge of cloud provisioning tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Understanding of and/or exposure to Amazon Web Services
It's a plus if you know about or have experience with:
- CI/CD Automation and Release Management with related tools, branching, and other DevOps best practices.
- Container Orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, etc).
- Cryptography/security basics.
